Obituary

Janene Olive Spencer, 69, of Punxsutawney, passed away, Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

 

She was born February 21, 1953 to Harlen F. and Olive L. (Lewis) Spencer in Punxsutawney. 

 

Janene graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School and the DuBois Business College. She worked as an administrative assistant with her family in the rental business, Janene enjoyed gardening, sewing, painting, drawing, reading and attending yard sales, she was proud of remodeling her home almost all by herself. Her heart belonged to her family. She loved cooking, having game nights, holiday get-togethers, and just spending time with her children and grandchildren. 

 

She is survived by three children, William Harlen Spencer and wife Erica, Seattle, WA, Daniel Ray States, Punxsutawney, Angela McQuown and husband Kevin, Punxsutawney, two grandchildren, Wyatt and Camille McQuown, two brothers, William Spencer and wife Jane, and Richard Spencer and wife Vickie, all of Punxsutawney, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

 

She was preceded in death by parents, a daughter Loren Hope States, a sister Judy Redding, and a niece Lisa Ball.

 

There will be no services.

 

The McCabe Funeral Home Inc, of Punxsutawney have been entrusted with the arrangements.
