Frederick Charles Allenbaugh, 76, of Punxsutawney, died February 14, 2021 after a brief illness with COVID pneumonia.

Born on September 19, 1944, he was the son of the late Frederick Wilbur Allenbaugh and the late Twila Mae (Forrest) Allenbaugh.

A 1962 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School, he then entered  into service in the United States Marine Corps in 1963, and deployed to Vietnam in 1965, earning the Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Rifle Sharpshooter Badge. Upon honorable discharge from service in 1967, he worked in various labor industries, including gas, lumber, and carpentry.  He made friends easily. He will be remembered affectionately and missed by many.

Predeceased by his parents, he is survived by children, Roxana Cameron, Lake Winola, PA, Frederick Allenbaugh, Tunkhannock, PA, Jacob (Laura) Allenbaugh, Hop Bottom, PA, Margaret (Adam) Weaver, Creekside, PA, six grandchildren and extended family.

Friends will be received on Saturday, May 1, 2021, from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA.
