Eileen B. (Schrock) Smith

Eileen B. Smith, 75, of Fordham, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at her home.

She was born June 18, 1947, to Clair and Helen (Piper) Schrock in Punxsutawney.

Eileen was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Punxsutawney. She graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School in 1965. Eileen enjoyed, quilting, making homemade Christmas, Birthday cards, making necklaces and bracelets from beads. She loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren.  

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Geary Smith, Fordham, a daughter, Antoinette E. Thomassy, Clearfield, a son, Matthew J. Smith and wife Lauren, Hamilton, two grandchildren, Colton J. and Alison N. Smith, a close niece, who she thought highly of Rebecca Kimmerle and husband Nathan, of Lothrup, MO, two great nieces, Addy and Mary Kimmerle, a brother Frederick Schrock and wife Amy, MS, two sisters, Claire Barnett and husband Carl, Erie, Sandra Kaza and husband George, Punxsutawney,  special friends, Renee Kimmerle, Reiko Smith, Kristen Goulish and husband Donald, Barb and Bill Postlewaite,

Brother-in-laws, Charles E. Smith, Donald D. Smith, Paul L. Smith and wife Vivian, a sister-in-law Susan Humble and husband Ron, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister Hope.

Friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8 PM at the First United Methodist Church, 301 West Mahoning Street, Punxsutawney, PA. 15767, A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday morning, at the church with Rev. Steve Gruver officiating.

Burial will take place at Circle Hill Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

The McCabe Funeral Home of Punxsutawney have been entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, due to Eileen’s love of reading. The family would like a donation of a book or books to the Punxsutawney Elementary School Library in her memory.
