Obituary

Douglas M. “Mutt” Pequeen, Sr.,62, of Punxsutawney passed away on March 27, 2023 at Punxsutawney Area Hospital. 

He was born November 25, 1960 to James and Barbara (Fousnaught) Pequeen in Pryor, OK.

He was a retired painter and wallpaper hanger.  He enjoyed spending time and visiting with friends at Frank ‘n Steins when they were open.  “Mutt”, as he was known to his friends, lived his life to have a good time.

He is survived by his wife, Jenny Pequeen; his sons Douglas M. Pequeen, Jr. (Denise) and Michael J. Pequeen (Ashley) and his daughter Catherine D. Pennington (Chris) all of Punxsutawney; grandchildren Amber Walker (Josh), Dillon Pequeen, Malachi, Micah, Elijah and Avah Pequeen and Brianna and Kolbi Pennington; brothers James S. Pequeen, Jr. (Linda) of TN, Scott Pequeen (Ann) of OK and sister Cathy Wiggins of OH, his close nieces Amy and Theresa Pequeen as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steven Pequeen.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Punxsutawney Social Hall located on North Jefferson Street, Punxsutawney, PA on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 4-6pm.

Services have been entrusted to the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc. of Punxsutawney.
