Denise Mary (Spack) Pifer

Denise Mary Pifer, 60, of Punxsutawney, went to be with the Lord on Friday November 26, 2021 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital with her husband Kerry by her side.

She was born April 21, 1961 to Theodore and Rita (Spack) Biggie in Norwalk Connecticut.

Denise was a 1980 graduate of the Punxsutawney Area High School. She attended church at Chestnut Grove Independent Church. She worked for the Punxsutawney Area School District for 24 years. Denise enjoyed her flower gardens, decorating her house for different seasons, helping at church with different functions. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her top priority was her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Kerry L. Pifer. They spent 28 years together. Four children,

Brandi Snell and husband Richie, Cool Spring, Jacob Vanyo and wife Felecia, Blacklick,

Steven Omlor, Punxsutawney, Keagan Pifer and fiancée Lakyn Smith, Punxsutawney, a step-daughter, Kourtney Pifer, Wichita KS, two grandchildren, Kylah and Kenlee Snell, a mother-in-law, Patty Pifer, Punxsutawney,  four sisters and two brothers, Stephanie Pearce and husband Dallas, Derry, a brother Tim Spack and wife Missy, Rossiter, a twin sister Dolores Toven and husband Al, Anita, a brother Joe Spack and wife Paula, Punxsutawney,  a sister, Rita Yenzi and husband Lenny, Anita, a sister Patty Mock Spack, Punxsutawney,  numerous nieces and nephews, Sister-in-law Tammy and Bill Mahan, Rossiter, brother-in-law Jimmy Stewart, Cramer.

She was preceded in death by her parents and father-in-law Richard G. Pifer.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 1- 4 PM and 6-8 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767. Friends will also be received, on Thursday, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Chestnut Grove Independent Church, 342, Lipp Road, Punxsutawney, PA 15767, with her brother Rev. Joe Spack officiating.

Interment will be at Pearce Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chestnut Grove Independent Church, 342 Lipp Road, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
