Barbara E. Cackowski

Barbara E. Cackowski, 80 of Ypsilanti, Michigan, formerly of Rochester Mills and Latrobe, passed away on Wednesday, April 21, 2021.

She was born April 27, 1940 to Andrew and Emma (Novotny) Pluchinsky in Lucerne Mines, PA

Barbara was a member of Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church in Punxsutawney. She was a graduate of Indiana State Teachers’ College and previously worked as an art teacher. She enjoyed her family, art, and the outdoors.

She is survived by her son, Dr. Frank Cameron Cackowski, and wife, Candace Cackowski, of Ypsilanti, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Frank Charles Cackowski, in 2013

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11:00 AM at the Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church, 616 West Mahoning Street, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church, 616 West Mahoning Street, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
