Susan M. Christian

Susan M. Christian, 59, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Saturday January 17, 2026 with her family by her side at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

She was born November 8, 1966 to James and Louise (Fox) Vandervort in Bedford.

Susan was a 1984 graduate of the Punxsutawney Area High School. She was a member of the Punxsutawney Eagles, F.O.E. 1234. She worked at various restaurants throughout the area most recently working as a cook at the Anchor Inn. Susan was an avid Elvis fan and enjoyed listening to anything by Elvis. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and her K9 companion Precious.

She is survived by her husband Jim Christian, Punxsutawney, a daughter Shealynn M. O’Harah and husband Andrew, Big Run, two grandchildren, Jaxson L. and Natalie O’Harah, two sisters, Sonia Dixon and husband Bill, Clearfield, Sheila Hartless and husband Ronnie, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter Amber R. Zedick.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

Interment will take place at Center Hill Cemetery, Brookville, PA
