Sally Ann Sallack

Sally Ann Sallack, 86, of Cloe, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at DuBois Nursing Home.

She was born January 2, 1938 to Walter and Mabel (Sargeant) Jenks in Johnsonburg.

She was a longtime, active member of the Cloe United Methodist Church where she played the organ and always helped out where she was needed. Sally was also a member of the Episcopal and Presbyterian Churches in Johnsonburg. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Groundhog Festival Committee, the Hot Footers Square Dancing Club, and the Red Hat Society. Sally was a teacher for 30 years in the Punxsutawney and Reynoldsville/Sykesville Area School Districts. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards with her card club, baking, and shopping with her daughter. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. 

She is survived by her husband of 65 years Oren L. Sallack, Cloe, four children; Marc A. Sallack (Bonnie), Scott A. Sallack (Karen), Beth A. Sallack, all of Punxsutawney, and Todd A. Sallack (Becky), Luthersburg, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Janell Swanson.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 11am at Cloe United Methodist Church.
