Robert R. Reitz, 68, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Thursday November 25, 2021 at his home with his wife by his side.

He was born July 20, 1953 to Charles E and Dorothy (Long) Reitz in DuBois.

Rob attended the Scottland Ave. Church of God. Rob was a member and a former Elder of the Grange Church of God. He retired from OCI in Brookville as a production manager. Before starting at OCI, Rob worked for Star Iron Works for over 30 years.

He was a member of the Perry Township Sportsman Club and was a past scout leader for Troop 245 in Punxsutawney. Rob enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, barbequing for his family. He enjoyed playing his 12-string guitar. Rob was a member of the worship team at the Grange Church of God, performing at churches, personal care homes and events. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, whom he married August 11, 1973, Debra J. (Grube) Reitz, Punxsutawney, Three children, Robert C. Reitz, New Castle, April Shaffer and husband Kenneth, Punxsutawney, Jeffrey M. Reitz and wife Christina, New Brighton, six grandchildren, Justus B. Shaffer, Juliana L. Shaffer, Rosalee F. Shaffer, Melody G. Shaffer, Sadie R. Reitz and Avery M. Reitz, a brother Jerry L. Reitz and wife Ruth, Big Run.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant brothers, and a sister Susan M. Aljoe.

Friends will be received on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc. 114 Maple Ave. Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

Burial will be at Circle Hill Cemetery.
