Patricia (Johnston) Sheesley

Patricia A. “Pat” Sheesley, 88, of Mahaffey, peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Thursday October 13, 2022.

She was born August 19, 1934 to Max T. and Dora G. (Strunk) Johnston in Curry Run.

She was a member of the Curry Run United Methodist Church and New Millport Women’s Club.

Pat enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, reading, word search puzzles and knitting.

Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday, where loved preparing Thanksgiving dinner and visiting with her family. The family would like to thank the ICU nursing team at Penn Highlands DuBois, the staff at Knickerbocker Villa and 365 Hospice.

Pat is survived by two sons, Ralph Kester and wife Betsy, Curwensville, Mike Kester, and a daughter Connie (Kester) Barrett both of Mahaffey. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, Jessica Esposti and husband Joe, John Kester, Rachel Kester and husband Dave Bair, Michael Kester, Leslie Miller and husband Drew, Dr. Lewis Kester, Lisa Barrett and Tim Barrett and her great grandchildren, Christopher and Anthony Esposti, Liam Kester, Owen Bair, Wyatt and Marleigh Kester and Shayli Barrett and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband John H. Kester, and her second husband Ernest “Ray” Sheesley, four brothers, William, Max, Albert and Robert Johnston, three sisters, Ruth “Toot” Odrosky, Margaret “Peg” Derrick, Martha “Mart” Painter and a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Kester.

At her wishes, there will be no services.

She will be laid to rest at Watts Cemetery.

The Waldron Funeral Home of Mahaffey have been entrusted with the arrangements.
