Nancy Jean Anderson

Nancy Jean (Hogan) Anderson, 75, of Punxsutawney, peacefully passed away at home on July 17, 2025.

She was born on January 19, 1950 in Punxsutawney to Donald and Ruth (Wolfe) Hogan. She graduated from Swissvale High School and attended Robert Morris College where she earned her Associate’s Degree. On November 22, 1969, she married James Anderson in Punxsutawney. She enjoyed gardening and crafts.

She is survived by her husband Jim, a son, Kris, a sister, Ann (Jan) Hammrock, VA, sisters-in law, Lonna Hogan, NC and Donna (Joe) Sutton of Punxsutawney and a brother-in-law, Bill Anderson, WA as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Ann and her brother Bill Hogan.

Per Nancy’s wishes, there will be no viewing. Private burial will take place at Circle Hill Cemetery in Punxsutawney.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

Donations in Nancy’s memory can be made to local animal shelters or to the ASPCA. It would have brought Nancy great joy to know a homeless dog or cat has been adopted into its furever home.
