Miriam J. Twigg
December 31, 1927 — July 25, 2016
Miriam J. Twigg, 88 of Punxsutawney, passed away Monday, July 25 2016 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.
Miriam was born December 31, 1927 in Brownsville, a daughter of the late Powell M. and Sylvia A. (Byland) Davies.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gerald Allen Twigg.
Miriam was a member of the CMA Church in Punxsutawney. She loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and going to all of their school activities.
She is survived by one son; David Twigg of Reynoldsville and one daughter; Eileen Brumbaugh of Virginia, four grandchildren; Christopher Edney and wife Trish, Amanda Greenblatt and husband Joshua, Kristen Twigg-Price and Matthew Twigg and wife Briana. Fourteen great grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her husband Gerald, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Melissa Twigg, brother; John P. Davies and a sister; Audrey Davies.
Friends will be received from 10 am until 12 noon Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney where a funeral service will be held at 12 with Pastor Scott Pifer officiating.
Interment is private for family.
