Marilyn Rose (Potter) Deet, 77, of Houston Texas, formerly of Punxsutawney, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022.

She was born November 11, 1945 to Dana and Charlotte Potter in Tonawanda NY.

Marilyn was an active member of the Lake Houston Church of Christ. While she lived in Pennsylvania, she attended the Brookville Church of Christ. She was active in all areas of the church and was always willing to lend a hand where needed. Marilyn had formerly worked at the Pantall Hotel and Ruth and Harry’s restaurants in Punxsy, but in recent years she worked at Sheetz and the Punxsutawney Hospital. Marilyn enjoyed serving the community of Punxsutawney. She loved serving the Lord, her family and her church family.

She is survived by a son Ron Deet and wife Laura, Punxsutawney, a daughter Barbara (Deet) Raster, Houston, TX, three grandchildren, Lance Deet, VA, Lukas Deet, Gettysburg, Zoe Raster, Houston, a great grandson Matthew Beau Deet, a sister, Laurie Zapf, and a brother Paul Potter and wife Manetta all of Buffalo, NY and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by parents, her husband Robert Deet, a daughter Susan May Neal, three brothers and a sister.

Services were private.

The McCabe Funeral Home Inc., of Punxsutawney have been entrusted with the arrangements.
