Lola S. Smith

Lola S. Smith, 100, of Brookville, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2025 at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor.

She was born on October 17, 2025 in North Mahoning Township, Indiana county to parents J.D. and Pearl (VanHorn) Good.

Lola graduated from Plumville High School and then married Harold “Andy” Smith on September 7, 1968 and they enjoyed travelling to all 50 states together. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and loved family get-togethers.

She is survived by five children; Terry Luce (Doris), Home, Connie Bodenhorn (Ed), Brookville, Sharon Barnett (Howard), Punxsutawney, Mark Smith (Michelle) and Cathy Smith, all of Summerville, 10 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 11 great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers; Kenneth Good, Dale Good and Ernest Good and a sister Alicebelle Hayes, and an infant sister. She was the last surviving member of her family.

Friends will be received on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday 11:00 AM at the funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Worthville Cemetery.
