Lawrence “Larry” L. Jarbeck, 88, passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024, at the Mulberry Square Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Larry was born on November 6, 1936, to Frank and Elizabeth (Becker) Jarbeck in Punxsutawney.
He graduated from the Saint Adrian Catholic School in Delancey. After graduating he began working in the drilling industry, excelling in that field, extensively working across the United States and as far away in the country of India. Larry then worked for the Boeing Aerospace & Transportation Company in Seattle, WA. He was actively involved as a member of the Saint Joseph’s Polish Club in Adrian and previously the Knights of Columbus in Arkansas. He enjoyed visiting with friends, woodworking, and traveling.
He is survived by one brother; Richard Jarbeck, Punxsutawney, three daughters, Janice M. Covatch (Chuck), North Carolina, Tamela A. Schandel (Arthur), Anita, and Susan J. Dively (Gordon), Martinsburg; twelve grandchildren, and nineteen great grandchildren. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elizabeth, two wives, Nellie May Richards, Ruby Snelson Jarbeck, five brothers and two sisters, Bernard E. Jarbeck, Frank J. Jarbeck, Stephen J. Jarbeck, William J. Jarbeck, Pauline A. Przybrowski, George R. Jarbeck and Elizabeth Hutchinson.
The services are private and have been entrusted to McCabe Funeral Home, 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
Internment will take place at the Anita Roman Catholic Cemetery.
