Jon M. Snyder

Jon M. Snyder, 80, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Mulberry Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his family.

Jon was born on August 1, 1944, to Paul and Leila (Kromer) Snyder in Punxsutawney.

Jon was a graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the US Army and served in the Vietnam War. He then began his 40 year long career working at S&T Bank where he eventually worked his way up to becoming a branch manager. Jon enjoyed hunting, gardening, scratching off lottery tickets and going to his grandchildren’s sports games.

Jon is survived by his wife of 55 years, Loraine Snyder; two daughters, Colleen Ishman (Brian) of Punxsutawney, and Robin Ishman (Mike) of Punxsutawney; four grandchildren, Allison (Jonathon), Dylan, Derek, and Brandon Ishman of Punxsutawney; a brother, Richard Snyder (Lorita) of Punxsutawney, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Snyder.

The services are private and have been entrusted into the care of McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA, 15767.
