John R. "Jack" Havrilla

John Richard "Jack" Havrilla, 74, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026 at Penn Highlands Jefferson Manor.

He was born March 25, 1952 to John P. and Stephanie L. (Mocek) Havrilla in Punxsutawney.

Jack was a 1970 graduate of the Punxsutawney Area High School. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree from IUP, he began his career as a social worker in healthcare for over thirty years. He was a member of ROTC Indiana and had a great passion for music and guitars, being a talented guitarist himself.

He is survived by brothers Robert J. Havrilla and wife Elin of Fredericksburg, VA, Dennis P. Havrilla, Sr. of Punxsutawney, PA, and James M. Havrilla and wife Amanda of Johnstown, PA, along with nine nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services are private and under the care of McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.

Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery.
