Joan L. Reagle

Joan L. Reagle, 73 of Stump Creek, entered into rest on Friday, January 5, 2024 at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital. 

She was born November 30, 1950 to Homer and Anna L. (Homefeldt) Hopkins in Mahaffey at her family home. 

Joan was a graduate of Purchase Line High School. She attended Paradise United Church of Christ. Joan was a member of the Sykesville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and she was a board member of the Devers Cemetery Association.  She worked at Utilities and Industries in Reynoldsville for 25 years before her retirement in 2013. She was a seamstress for family and friends and loved sewing. Traveling was special to Joan and she traveled all over the United States and Canada. Joan loved spending time with her family and visiting her grandson. She was her grandson’s biggest cheerleader at every event. Joan never turned down a chance to watch her young great nieces and nephews and her friends’ children. She and her husband Glenn celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 28, 2023. Her family had a surprise anniversary party for them which she enjoyed very much.  

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Glenn A. Reagle, Stump Creek, two daughters, Kristie M. Reagle, Erie, Kerrie A. Reagle, Stump Creek, and son Timothy S. Reagle and Libby Parise, Punxsutawney, a grandson Owen J. Falkenhagen, two sisters, Joyce Haagen and husband Herbert, Punxsutawney, Judy Leslie and husband John, Jamestown, PA, a brother Jim Hopkins and numerous nieces, nephews, and special close friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.  

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the McCabe Funeral Home Inc.,114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA, Friends will also be received on Thursday January 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Reverend Donna Jarrell officiating. 

Interment will take place at Devers Cemetery, Rossiter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Devers Cemetery Association, 5953 Lockvale Road, Rossiter, PA or the ALS Associaton, 416 Lincoln Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA  15209.
