Jean D. Thomas, 94 of Mahaffey, passed away Wednesday, February 1 , 2017 at Penn Highlands Dubois Hospital in Dubois, PA.
Jean was born on January 26, 1923 in Krebs, PA, a daughter of the late Harry Milton and Effie (Rupert) Diem.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Thomas in 1981.
She was a member of Mount Caramel Church.
Jean is survived by three sons; Robert M. Thomas of Mesa, AZ, Theodore E. Thomas of Elkton, MD, Thomas R. Thomas of Morgantown, WV, two daughters; Sharon Thomas of Berlin, NJ, Rebecca Jo Kephart of Mahaffey, four grandchildren; Robert Thomas Jr., Craig Thomas, Justine Johnson, Jessica Barrett, six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son; Samuel L. Thomas, four brothers; Henry, Thomas, Robert, and Frank Diem, and three sisters; Martha Anderson, Wilma Yoder, and Sara Lightner.
In keeping with Mrs. Thomas' request, there will be no public viewing. Waldron Funeral Home of Mahaffey is in charge of arrangements.
