James Irvin “Jim” Esposti, Jr., 69, of LaJose, passed away on Sunday May 10, 2026 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

He was born February 13, 1957, to James Irvin Esposti, Sr, and Dorothy (Parrish) Esposti in Punxsutawney.

Jim was a truck driver for over 30 years, before retiring in September 2025. Throughout his life, he served as Councilman, Mayor and President of Newburg Boro. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, planting walnut trees, spending time with his friends in his garage. Most of all he loved spending time with his family. Especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Margaret V. (Sturgeon) Esposti, Mahaffey, four children, Jamie A. Esposti, LaJose, Tina M. Esposti (John Mason), Heilwood, Nicole J. Esposti, Mahaffey, James I. Esposti, III, LaJose, 10 grandchildren, Dale Bouch, Jr. (Kassidy), Elizabeth Mason, Alex Bouch (Mckenzie), Tara Culp (Tyler), John Mason, Tabitha Mason, Tyler Sisson, Noah Mason, Connor Sisson, Casey Bouch, two great grandchildren, John Valenti and Alainna Taylor, siblings, Robert, Donny and Richard, Lori Spencer and Mary Galczynski, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Samuel James Esposti, three brothers, William, Bradley and Edward, a niece and a nephew.

Services are private.

Interment will take place at Otterbein Cemetery.
