Howard J. Barnett

Howard J. Barnett, 70, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Saturday May 23, 2026 at his home.

He was born August 18, 1955 to Ardell and Shirley (Martin) Barnett in Punxsutawney.

Howard was a graduate of the Punxsutawney Area High School. He worked as a plumber for over 35 years with Brown Plumbing and Heating.

He is survived by two sons, Nicholas S. Shiock, and Ethan Barnett, three grandchildren, Sage, Emmy Lu, and Rhett Shiock, a sister, Jan Bosak and husband Don, all of Punxsutawney and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Michael and Robert Barnett and two sisters Marsha Cochran and Debbie Bridge

At Howard’s request visitation and services are private.

Interment will take place at Circle Hill Cemetery.
