Helen M. Bair

Helen M. Bair, 89, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at her home with her family by her side.

She was born November 3, 1936, to Frank and Helen (Baren) Rosana in Punxsutawney.

She married Norman R. Bair, June 26, 1958. He preceded her in death October 2, 2005.

She was a member of Saint Cosmas and Damien Catholic Church. Helen worked at Rolo Jensen, Punxsy Hotel and the American Red Cross. Helen enjoyed cooking, baking and trying new recipes for her family, gardening, planting flowers, scrolling, posting and communicating with her Facebook friends. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Helen Pierce and husband Roland, Cynthia A. Domb and husband Ron all of Punxsutawney, three grandchildren, Michael Matthews and wife Michelle, Christina Pierce and husband Craig, Julie Klontz, and husband Josh, three great grandchildren, Dade Davenport, Avery Matthews, Adria Young, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother Francis “Brownie” Rosana

Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 from 3-7 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home, 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767, A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Saint Cosmas and Damien Catholic Church, 616 West Mahoning Street, Punxsutawney, PA with Msgr., Joseph Riccardo, Celebrant.

Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Just Us For the Animals, 98 Morrison Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
