Georgia R. Amazeen

Georgia R. Amazeen, 88 of Brookville, formerly of Monterey California, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at the Clarion Hospital.

She was born May 18, 1938 to James S. and Alice (Marley) Sweeney in Los Angeles, California.

Georgia, who people knew her as “Mike” graduated from Bradford High School in 1956. She then moved to California in 1964. Mike lived in California until moving back to Pennsylvania in 2021. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, cooking, hunting and fishing.

She is survived by a son John J. McLaughlin and wife Amanda, Mayport, a daughter Terri Lynn Hawkins, CA, seven grandchildren, eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband George Amazeen, two sons, Randy Joe McLaughlin and Daniel Wade McLaughlin

Services are private.
