George M. Clark, Sr.

George M. Clark, age 90 of Punxsutawney, passed away, Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at DuBois Nursing Home. George was born April 20, 1927 in Punxsutawney to the late Roy and Anna (McCormick) Clark. May 17, 1948 he married his beloved wife Gertrude “Isobel” Clark. She preceded him in death on August 6, 2006. In addition to his wife Isobel, he was preceded in death by his son in law; Doug Ferraro along with two brothers and three sisters. He was a proud WWII, US Army veteran. George was also a lifelong member of the Lindsey Fire Comapny. Upon returning to Punxsutawney, after his tour of duty in WWII, he began a long career as an Engineer on the railroad. In his spare time he loved wood working and any kind of carpentry and just being outdoors and cutting the grass. He also liked watching the Steelers games. His greatest loves were his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. He is survived by one son; George Clark and wife Jackie of Reynoldsville, three daughters; Linda Ferraro of Marion Center, Gail Long and husband Dana of Woodbridge, VA., and Donna Lellock and husband Fred of Punxsutawney. His beloved grandchildren; Tina Davis and husband Brian, Tanya Scarantine and husband Mike, Georganne Boucher, Chad Lellock and wife Heather, Amy Wundrack and husband Scott, J.D. Ferraro and wife Stephanie and Alexander Long. Great grandchildren; Tia Forrest and husband Chris, Shawna Davis, J.R. Davis, Andrew Digilarmo, Alexis Blose, Branson Scarantine, Samantha Boucher, Aidan Lellock, Amy Wundrack, Isobella Wundrack, J.J. Ferraro, Olivia Ferraro and Brayden Sons. Great-Great Grandchildren; Eden, Emma, Jaxon, Rayne, Rylee, Bentley and Liam. Friends will be received from 2-5 on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney where a funeral service will be held at 5 pm with a message from Laverne Thompson.
