Ella May Marshall

March 6, 1943 — January 6, 2019

Ella May Marshall, 75, of Punxsutawney, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 6, 2019 at her home with her family by her side. Ella was a caring angel. She was a loving and caring mother to David Allen Marshall who preceded her in death, and her daughter; Pamela Ann Arriola of Punxsutawney. She was preceded in death by her parents; John and Elizabeth Hoover. In addition to her daughter Pamela, Ella is survived by a sister; Mary Ann Miller and husband Charles of Christiansburg, VA., Two brothers; John Curtis Hoover of Mansfield, OH., David Lee Hoover and wife Wanda of Hamilton and many nieces and nephews. She moved to Manassas, VA. in 1975 to work for IBM. After retirement she went into private duty home health care and for 20 years she provided loving care to many prominent families in her community. Ella was an active member of the Manassas Baptist Church. She was also a greeter on the Welcoming and Food Committee's. Ella never met a stranger and was always ready to help those in need. She was very active in her community volunteering at Novant Health Center, Hylton Performing Arts Center and Manassas Volunteer Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Expressions of love and sympathy can be made as a contribution to the Manassas Baptist Church at 8730 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA. 20110. As per Ella's wishes, there will be no viewing.
