Eleanor M. Troise-Jordan, 95 of Punxsutawney, passed away Monday, September 12, 2016 at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.
Eleanor was born May 15, 1921 in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Louis J. and Mathilda (Neigh) Flick.
She was preceded in death by her first husband; Joseph L. Troise and later by her second husband Walter F. Jordan.
Eleanor was a proud veteran of the US Army having served during WWII and was a lifetime member of the Punxsutawney American Legion.
She was a member of Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church and also the Rosary Altar Society. She worked for A&P Grocery for 30 years before retiring. She loved dancing and was a member of the Polka Club in Punxsutawney. Eleanor was the best mom, grandma and just a priceless lady who adored her family.
She is survived by one daughter; MaryLee Bennett and fiance David Chilcote of Holidaysburg, one son; Joseph Troise of Pollick, CA., stepchildren; Tom and Janie Jordan, one brother; Jack Flick and wife Freida of Baltimore, MD., four grandchildren; Gina Wright and husband Mike, Robert "Butt" Bennett and wife Valerie, Dr. Joseph Troise, Dana Taggert and husband Desmond and five great grandchildren; Cody Wright, Brise Bennett, Sarah Troise, Benjamin and Mary Michelle Troise, step grandchildren; Katie, Kody and Kyle and a very lovely daughter in law; Diane Neal.
In addition to her first and second husband's, she is preceded in death by one grandchild; Lidia Bennett, one brother; Ralph Flick and four sisters; Jeannie Tarring, Stella Waple, Marie Terry and Ruth Depalma.
Friends will be received from 11-12:30 pm Thursday, September 15 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 pm Thursday at Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Joseph Riccardo as Celebrant.
Interment will follow at Circle Hill Cemetery.
