Doris Jean Hicks

Doris Jean Hicks, 80, of Marion Center, passed away on Thursday June 26, 2025 at her home.

She was born May 24, 1945 to Dee and Sara Marie (Smith) Griffith in Marion Center.

She was a 1963 graduate of Marion Center High School. She married her late husband Paul C. Hicks on April 27, 1968. They were married for 54 years before his passing on July 1, 2022, Doris enjoyed spending time at the Mahoning Senior Center baking and working on puzzles. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by three sons, Paul C. Hicks Jr., Michael J. Hicks, (Sue), Matthew J. Hicks (Leah) all of Marion Center, three grandsons, Kyle Hicks, New Bethlehem, Erik Hicks, Marion Center, Zachary Hicks, Big Run, a sister Nancy Wagner, Pittsburgh, three brothers, Jack Griffith (Paula), Donald Griffith, both of Marion Center, Ed Griffith (Sue), Rochester Mills, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul C. Hicks, a sister-in-law Judy Griffith and a brother-in-law Dennis Wagner.

Visitation and services are private.

Interment will take place at North Point Cemetery.
