Donald P. Hicks

Donald P. Hicks, age 72 , of Rochester Mills, passed away, Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Penn Highlands Dubois. Donald was born June 17, 1946 in Punxsutawney. A son of the late Paul E. and Twila (Wulfert) Hicks. Donald retired after 39 years from Jefferson Wholesale Grocery in 2011. He was a loving family man who enjoyed his grandchildren, joking , building puzzles, bingo and even the occasional coloring book. Don loved having a good time and just being with his family. August 17, 1968, he married the love of his life, Nancy L. (Travis) Hicks and celebrated 50 years of marriage. Together they had two sons; Brian Hicks and wife Marquittee of Rochester Mills and Troy Hicks and wife Brandi of Punxsutawney. His beloved grandchildren; Christee Humble, Mariah Stevenson and husband Brandon and two great grandchildren; Reese and Ruthie. He is also survived by one sister; Judy Farmery and husband Roger. Friends will be received from 3-6 pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney where a funeral service will be held at 6 pm with Joseph Buterbaugh officiating.
