Dennis J. Cameron

Dennis J. Cameron, 73, of Rossiter, passed away on Tuesday May 19, 2026 at his home with his family by his side.

He was born January 31, 1953 to Ledzel “Sam” and Vernetta (Peterson) Cameron in Cleveland, OH.

Denny was a graduate of the Punxsutawney Area High School. He was a member of the Rossiter American Legion, Punxsutawney Theater Arts Guild and Rossiter Global Methodist Church. He worked for P&N Coal Company for over 30 years, until his retirement. Denny enjoyed having a good time with his friends, traveling, attending Penn State Football games, and shopping. Denny was a master and a perfectionist at decorating for Christmas and putting up Christmas lights. He also enjoyed reupholstering furniture and playing the accordion and tuba.

He is survived by a sister, Karen L. Cameron, Rossiter, a brother, Greg A. Cameron, and wife Johnna, Punxsutawney, four nephews and a niece; Corey M. Cameron, Joshua D. Cameron and wife Erin, Lyndsey Cameron and fiancé D.J. Riva, John Mahoney and wife Alice, Danny Mahoney, sister-in-law Cindy Cameron, three great nephews; Dylan Bender, Aiden Cameron, and Harper Cameron, and a special friend, Renee Nissel.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Kevin and Gary Cameron and a nephew Phillip Cameron and a great nephew Alexander D. Riva.

Friends will be received on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 2:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Ave., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
