David M. “Crock” Forrest, 71, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at Aspen Health and Rehabilitation.
He was born February 18, 1955 to David and Kathryn (Johnson) Forrest in Punxsutawney.
Crock was a 1973 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School and a member of the Punxsutawney Eagles. He worked most of his career in the Gas and Oil Industry, for Mahoning Pipeline and Randy Keller. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all Crock loved being around his friends and family.
He is survived by a daughter Ashley Curry (Justin Riggie), Punxsutawney, two grandsons, Ethan Curry (Olivia Burkett), Evan Smith (Addison) a granddaughter, Evie Smith, a sister Jeanne Story (Eric), a brother Mark “Woody” Forrest (Ann), nieces and nephews, Eric Story (Deb), Heath Story, (Sarah), Markie Burkett (David), Emily Forrest (Mike Mohr), and great nieces and nephews, Adelyn, and Finley Story, Milo, Felix, Archer, and Scarlett Burkett, Mia Mohr, Hunter and Julie Greeley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Dennis Forrest and a sister Lynn Forrest.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 1:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM at the McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., with Pastor Guy Smith officiating.
