David F. Campbell

David F. Campbell, 82, of Mahaffey, passed away on Wednesday November 4, 2026 at Mulberry Square in Punxsutawney.

He was born June 5, 1944 to Kelsey and Margaret (Meckley) Campbell in Punxsutawney.

Dave was a member of Banner Ridge Community Church, Burnside Sportsman’s Club, Central Counties Concerned Sportsmen, and the National Rifle Association, He graduated in 1963 from Purchase Line High School. He attended Triangle Tech where he received a degree in drafting. Dave was a former bridge inspector for PennDOT. He was a true outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, and any outdoor activities. Dave also enjoyed scratching lottery tickets, and watching old western movies.

He is survived by a sister Sally Hurd and husband Jim, Mahaffey, four nephews, Denny Phillips, Gary Phillips (Marsha), Rod Phillips, all of Punxsutawney, and Jamie Hurd (Rochelle), Mahaffey, and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Nancy Phillips and a half sister Patricia Shaw.

Friends will be received on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the Waldron Funeral Home, 831 Market Street, Mahaffey, PA 15757, with his brother-in-law, Pastor James Hurd officiating.

Interment will take place at Mahaffey Cemetery.
