Christopher L. Adams

Christopher L. “Chris” Adams, 64, of Punxsutawney, PA, received his wings on December 7, 2024 after a valiant battle with dementia.

Chris was born on September 2, 1960 to Hollie and Rita (Streight) Adams in Fremont, OH. He lived most of his life in Toledo, OH before settling down in Punxsutawney.

Learning to play the guitar at a young age from his brother Danny, Chris formed a love for music and a passion for classic rock. He would often sing and play songs written by his brother, Danny.  He worked for his parents’ first company, Adams Brother’s Tree Surgery, and later was a partner of his family’s second company, Ohio Referral, for many years until his illness.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Hollie Adams and his brother, Danny Adams. 

He is survived by his mother, Rita Adams, daughters: Jenni Thacker (Matt), Kelly Humble (Bill), Hannah, Hadessa, Abby, and Lilly Adams, sons: Corey Adams (Erica), Caleb, Joshua, and Peter Adams, a sister,  Debbie Lockerman, brothers: Kenny (Becky) Adams and Steve (Brenda) Adams as well as 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA 15767 on December 13, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 1:00 PM with Rev. William Foster officiating.  Interment will follow at Ridgemont Cemetery in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania.
