Punxsutawney

Charles Edward Inman, 73, of Punxsutawney passed away on Tuesday April 16, 2024.

He was born October 22, 1950 in Mercer, PA, the son of Floyd W. Inman and Agnes (Amon) Inman who preceded him in death.

He was a graduate of Mercer Senior High School and Penn State University. He also earned his teaching certification from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

“Charlie” as he was known, was a little league player and fan of Pirates baseball. He enjoyed listening to ball games on the radio but his most beloved sport and pastime was by far auto racing. He relished every race. His life’s joy was in everything from the dust of the local dirt tracks to the roaring glory of the great Daytona 500.

Surviving family include daughter, Rebecca Sanders and her husband Paul of Cleveland, OH; three grandchildren Julia, Benjamin, and Thea Sanders, his brother William Inman of Allison Park, PA and three nephews, Joseph Inman, Richard Inman and Mark Inman.

Arrangements are under the care of McCabe Funeral Home, Inc., 114 Maple Avenue, Punxsutawney, PA  15767.  A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
