Catherine L. Snyder

Catherine L. Snyder, 72 of Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017 at Jefferson Manor in Brookville. Catherine was born November 7, 1944 in Henderson, Twp., a daughter of the late Clyde and Lydia (Craft) Walls. March 21, 1964 she married her beloved husband Howard Snyder of Punxsutawney who survives. They were married 53 years. Catherine was a CNA for many years and worked at Jefferson manor for many years as well as the former Blose - McGregor. She was also a Home Health care taker. Her joy in life was not only her family but collecting her prized recipes and cooking with them. She also took loving care of her brother Raymond for 34 years in her home. In addition to her husband Howard, she is survived by three daughters; Christine Fezell and husband Tim of Punxsutawney, Carla Salada and Fiance; Louie Higgins of Harrisburg, Cansas Meckley and husband Ron also of Punxsutawney, six grandchildren; Jason (Megan) and Michael (Holly) Logue, Melanie (Matthew) Rocuskie, Brian (Jessica) Salada, Jackson and Benjamin Fezell and eleven Great grandchildren, Three brothers; David (Beverly) Walls of Big Run, Raymond Walls of Brookville and Donald Walls of Stump Creek. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers; Eugene and Richard Walls and three sisters; Betty Bochert, Ruth McAnich and Mildred Cherpish. Friends will be received from 1- 4 pm Sunday, June 18, 2017 at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney where a funeral service will be held at 4 PM with Pastor Tom Spiker officiating. Interment is private.
